I love it. It's deconstructionist humor, the punchline is in the set-up.
Here's one from Murder Unleashed (my 2nd novel, as you probably know):
"How many thesaurus writers does it take to screw in, twist into position, or otherwise replace a glass enclosed, vaccum packed, incandescent light-producing filament in exchange for a non-functioning, ineffective, dead, or otherwise non-light producing globe of the same type, sort, kind, or variety?"
